The Wounded

In the field of battle, that is the Christian life. Many lie wounded,  just clinging to life. As the smoke rises, from the field of war. Some lie dead, while many lie tore. Some wounds were inflicted, by evil ambushes from behind. While others fought carelessly, trusting only their mind. Warriors lie wounded to the point, that their mission is now incomplete. Reduced to a causality, though their hearts still beat. Their faith wounded, Now they lie as lifeless as death. Willing to lie on the field, until final rest. Wound's of ones spirit, heals not, like the skin. For these wounded warriors, are wounded from within. Every story is different,  But the end is the same. Only they can choose to arise, And cast away the blame and shame. Encourage the wounded, As you cross their lane. It may be your words that restores them, From walking as the lame.

The Prayer of Zeal

If I am to live Oh LORD, Let it be with great zeal. Not with pompous words, Or even in how I feel! Oh LORD, may just a part of Your passion,  Live in one as simple as me. And may my steps honor You, For all to see! For to live without Your passion, Is to die slowly each day. Like a ship with no compass, Sailing away! No port ahead, No mission to complete. Just another day on board, Lost to the fleet! Sailing the globe, But never seeing the sites. Passing great cities, Only at distance,  seeing their lights. May The LORD call me home, Should I grow this cold. For should my passion die, May I never grow old!

Eternity Calls

Where will you be, in a thousand years? Rejoicing with JESUS, or trembling in fear? Will you have met, the apostles of old? Or have been in torment for what seems, like time untold. The just and the unjust, are each promised their day. Both promised eternity, both promised their pay. Eternity for all, will know no end. And for all mankind,    it's waiting for them...

Ancient of Days

On throne so pure, it appears like fire. At a place so high, none can go higher. Sits GOD, so holy, in His glory and power. As the scent of mercy and grace, fills His tower. At the sound of His voice, time stands still. As He stretches forth His hand, death is quelled. To stand in His presence, all evil must flee. To accept His Son, sets one free. Millenniums pass, yet He remains the same. As His Spirit and Word, still honor His name. Who is so mighty, That He never changes His ways? Only, The GOD of Forever, The Ancient of Day s.

GOD Most High

Oh GOD, Most High, maker of everything. You are awesome in power, and in the love that You bring. When the words are sung, their is none other like You. Few realize... these words are true. With the most colorful imagination, that man can explore. It falls short of the majesty, of The GOD I adore. Most High, Your ways are holy, Your heart so pure. With all that life offers, only in You am I sure. Your ways never change, Oh Holy One. For, You are the same this day, as when time begun. Psalm 7:10

GOD of Forever

Praised, be the GOD of Forever. For He is always welcome,  in this place. For through His Spirit, and by His Son. He is GOD, and He's the only One. But as time marches on, man seems to have forgot. Who GOD is, and who He is not. When all was dark, before time began. He was GOD, Before there was man. It was GOD who spoke, and all became whole. From the land too the sea, too mans very soul. He hasn't aged, Or lost control.  He's The Mighty One, From the times of old. Oh, He's still GOD, and He is still there. He's the GOD of Forever, and for you, He still cares! Genesis 1:1

Lead On Lord Jesus...

When I couldn't walk, You held me. When I could only crawl, You carried me. When I tried to walk, I fell and stumbled. Then You picked me up, and let me lean on You. Though it took me longer, than most to learn to walk. You never complained, You were never upset. I still fall from time to time, but it's never far. Thanks to Your hand, holding mine. Though I don't run as wildly, as many do. It's because I know how it hurts, to fall away from You. I just wanted to say, Thank You, Lord. For everything You've done, and too tell You, I love You. May I never forget, how far You've brought me. Lead on Lord Jesus, Lead on...

Season's

Just as the earths seasons, rotate round and round. The lives of we Christians, follows suit , right here on the ground. Winter In this time warmth seems, nowhere to be found. But in days of winter, GOD Himself,  is working on the ground. Spring Spring sprouts life, as seeds are planted in the clay.  Deep beneath the soil,  now lies potential,  for a harvest one day. Summer Summer brings the heat, as growth begins to shape. The pruning now begins, lest the harvest,  He forsake. Fall Fruit now hangs heavy, where simple earth once stood. The fall has brought a harvest, through the bad,  and the good. Soon it will be time to work,  the field again. For as long as The Son shines, there is seasons my friend. Ecclesiastes 3:1

Gone Home

At the death of a loved one, my emotions run deep. As I long for one more moment, with the one that I weep. Perhaps, I'm just selfish, for I cry not just for my friend. But I weep for the friendship, that has come to an end. I remember the good times, and all the moments we had. For few were the times, we ever called bad. As long as I live, I'll miss my friends that are gone. But I rejoice in my heart, for they've gone home. Now their days may be over, for the end of this race. But they've begun again, in a far better place. It may be years, but I'll see them again. Where The Son always shines, and life never ends.

One Stepped Out

After feeding the masses, And praying all night. Jesus set out, Just before light. Walking the sea, Like no mortal could. When the disciples first saw Him, None understood. They said, "it's a spirit, Walking the sea". Jesus, called back, No, it's just Me. Peter said Lord, If it's really you. Allow me to come, And do as you do. Jesus said come, To this man of the sea. Then with his eyes on Jesus, his trust was in He. Peter walked on the water, Like no mortal before. Then he felt the wind and the waves, Pushing from shore. The wind and the waves, began coming so near. Then Peter's faith began to falter, As he did fear. In the blink of an eye, The water was cold. Attempting to drown, One fearless and bold. Jesus saved Peter, When he fell into doubt. For though he fell... Only Peter stepped out!

City of Gold

I've read of a city, where the streets are pure gold. With walls of jasper, and emeralds so bold. It's a city that bellows, and rejoices in light. For this city of gold, knows no night! It's the home all joy, worship and praise. Home to the saints, and The Ancient of Days. It's home to a Lion, with the heart of a Lamb. Home to The Son, Who's Father's, I AM. The faithful and true, shall never grow old. As they move to that city, The City of Gold.

Judgement Day

At the edge of infinity, Where time stands still. Past the doors of the ages, And the days of mans will. A time of great judgement, Has been set for the earth. For this day of appointment, Awaits all from birth. The princes and paupers, Will stand side by side. Where wealth nor poverty, offer nowhere to hide. Billions of people, From millions of places. All will stand before GOD, as eternity faces. Many will weep, With tears that rejoice. While the rest are reminded, You were given a choice. GOD's Spirit called all, By His Presence and Word. No excuses that day, For all will have heard.

The Serpent

The appearance of a serpent, brings with it great fear. For the sight of a snake, means destruction is near. But those weak of heart, who act like they're blind. Say the serpents not deadly, if you follow his line. So be not deceived, of his flute and his baskets. For there's no charming evil, just graves and caskets. For the serpents approach, is deceitfully mild. Wooing the audience, with charm and a smile. Planning it's prey's destruction with a smile and a grin.  While waiting for the right moment, to just take them in. Man is the only being,  willing to make friends with a snake. But in time we realize, it was a deadly mistake. So be not deceived,  By the serpents charms. For he plans to destroy you, With open arms.

The Day God...Looked Away!

Up the hill walks a man, His body beaten down. A gift of the whip, As His flesh,  drags the ground. To the cross He walks, With His eyes fixed on high. For He had came on a mission, He'd came there to die. One solider, ties His wrist, With a rope tight! As the other draws a hammer, And three long spikes. Jesus convulses, As the first nail goes in. Now the hammering starts, For all of mans sin. With the second nail through, Vile shoots down His chin. The sickening of Christ To mans shame, and his sin. With His arms now nailed, Tight to the cross. A final spike to the feet, For all of the lost. The angels stood silent, Just waiting for His call. One word from Jesus... Would have stopped it all. Then, right at mid day, The sky went black. The Father had seen enough, He was turning His back. The light of the sun, was temporarily taken away. But as our sins were paid, The Son rose stronger,  on th

Dark Sky's

This world of ours, Is so steeped in it's sin. That the perversions of evil, Are now a fashionable trend. The abominable sins, Described In GOD'S Word. Are now defined as, choices, Which man has preferred. Fornication and adultery, Are no longer classified as sin. Now it's just an affair, You have with a friend. Sex now sells, Everything on the earth. With lust as the spokesman, For value and worth. Man hasn't changed, It's like the days before the ark. As they boast of their sins, As the sky's grow dark...

Home of The Damned

Past the gates of time, Lies an eternal domain. The master of which, Is the god all shame. You'll find no mercy here, In this kingdom of grief. Just mans final reward, for his lack of belief. It's a place that smells, Of great sickening and rot. Where sin is the flame, And the fire dieth not. Forgiveness and mercy, They aren't found here. Just misery and grief, with darkness and fear. With your destiny now settled, As you pass through the gate. The sign on the wall, reads,  NOW IT'S TO LATE . Your home is now, The most miserable of lands. Home of the lost, Home of the damned.

Missing You

I thought I'd just write, To let you know. I've been missing you, And I still love you so. I know we don't visit, or talk like we should. But every time that I call, You say the times not good. Every time I make plans, For just you and Me. Something always comes up, And you can't get free. I grow jealous for time, With you alone. You see I still love you, Even though you've been gone. So from My throne in heaven, I just wanted you to know. I miss you, And I still love you so.

The Tree

At the foot of great mountains, stands the strongest of trees. Near the river that gives life, whose flow is to ease. But life has a way, to test power and strength. Even of the mighty tree, high in its length. First comes a drought, to burn on the land. It comes to test the trees roots, and weaken its stand. Then come the insects, that eat up its leaves. They destroy all growth, bringing only disease.  Now sickened and dry, the rotting begins. With no sap in its branches, to hold back the winds. At a place where power and fruit, proudly once stood. Now lay the weak and the barren, just brittle wood. Can a simple tree, Speak into our lives? Without ever saying a word, To the fool and the wise. #YouTellMe

One Little Drop

Clouds drift in, moisture begins to build. Then the clouds break open, as rain begins to spill.  Just one drop in time, just a one-time drop. Origin from above, sent from the top.  One little drop, headed for the ground. Lost amongst the many, all headed down. Just a vapor in time, falling to earth. Sent intentionally for a purpose, to add to it's worth. Unsure of who it may touch, as it flows strait down. Given just a moment, then on to the ground. A vapor in time, Purposed not to swerve! Just one little drop Sent, in time to serve. All are sent to water, one thing or another. As well as to refresh the lives, of one another. Ecclesiastes 12:7 And the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
