The Prayer of Zeal

If I am to live Oh LORD, Let it be with great zeal. Not with pompous words, Or even in how I feel! Oh LORD, may just a part of Your passion,   Live in one as simple as me. And may my steps honor You, For all to see! For to live without Your passion, Is to die slowly each day. Like a ship with no compass, Sailing away! No port ahead, No mission to complete. Just another day on board, Lost to the fleet! Sailing the globe, But never seeing the sites. Passing great cities, Only at distance, seeing their lights. May The LORD call me home, Should I grow this cold. For should my passion die, May I never grow old!

I Was No One Special

As I passed through the valley of the shadow of death, I saw light growing stronger and brighter than words could describe, though the light was piercing, it was not painful. My feet then touched down on what looked like streets of gold, shinning with great luster, to my right I heard my name, and as I turned, Jesus stood smiling, welcome; I’ve been waiting for you! All my words were gone, I could only cry as a repetitive thank you, began to spout out over and over, thank you Lord, thank you Lord. After a time of thanking and praising, I said, Lord you were waiting to greet me? Yes, He replied I greet all who arrive; you were one of many today, come let Me show you around. As I turned to go with Him, I was lost for words at my surroundings, I thought, Hollywood couldn’t have even dreamed this. In what looked like mile after mile as far as I could see there were mansions, none small, none describable by earth terms, but mansions, oh were there mansions! These homes wer

The Pendulum Winds Down

In God's perfect time, There was no end. For time never mattered, When there was no sin. But the day Adam fell, Times clock began. As the world started spinning, From the sins of man. Round and round, Time and again. As the earth grew drunker, from spinning in sin. Sinning and spinning, Spinning in sin. Time cries for more, Now sensing the end... For as true as beginning's, Even time has an end. As the pendulum winds down, On the time of sin.

The Letter

In days of weakness, When you've felt lost. I remembered the day, You came to the cross. Bowing so reverent, Before God's throne. From that day forth, You were never alone. Oh, there have been times, That you have strayed. But My Spirit inside you, Always has stayed. The days you felt, Covered in sin. The day's you thought, I'll never win. Even the days you tied,  My Hands. Those days when you chose, your ways, and not My plans.  The days you saw, Loved ones die. The days you cried, Why, God why? Though you didn't recognize me, I was always there. I longed for the moment, That you'd find me in prayer. You see I never stopped caring, For you my child. I just thought you should know, Since...  we haven't talked in a while.

The Martyr

There are many great lands, Where worshiping God,  Is a mans choice. Then there are lands, Where God has no voice. Through pagans and politics, God's message has been stilled. And all who teach of His Son, Are tortured and killed. From the time of Stephen, To present day. Many are still martyred, For to whom, they pray. Death by torture, If you teach God's Word. Many have died, But more have heard! When one martyr dies, They become like a seed,  To the earth. Their fruit may be gone. But they died to give birth. http://justpastthebend.blogspot.com/

The Storm!

Clouds began to blow in, then the rain began to fall. Then the lightning followed, as the thunder did call. I looked for the sun, but it was hiding it's face. As the storm continued, at a wicked pace. The waters rose quickly, as the sky wept. And with the force of a hurricane, my dreams seemed swept. I looked to the skies, with questions, to enlighten. But no answers came, as the winds did heighten. To the east and the west, I saw the skies clear. But directly overhead, the storm was here! Is it fair to question? When the storm will not cease. Is it fair to wonder, when will I have peace? Many times I pondered, did this storm just find me? Or have I moved somewhere, I shouldn't be? Isaiah 25:4 http://justpastthebend.blogspot.com/

Pilgrims

In this land, that's not our own. We pilgrims... still journey, and continue on. Traveling life's road, taking in the sights. Experiencing this life, with all it's joy and frights. Weathering life's storms, by enduring it's worst seasons. Pilgrims, committed to a journey, void of earthly reasons. For some, today, will be their very last mile. While most continue this journey, yet, for a little while. Just pilgrims on journey, to a place we've never been. Inviting all we meet, to join we journeymen. Declaring great beauty, about cities adorned by man. While faithfully continuing, toward the city,  not of human hands. Just pilgrims, just travelers, just simply passing through. We're headed to a land, just beyond the blue. Hebrews 11:13

Time of Trials!

When it seems that life, is going so well. Somewhere in the shadows, a trial is beginning to swell. To walk in trial, yes, we've all been there. But to walk on through, still takes... much prayer. Oh yes, we've fallen, when trials have come. Some are still down, while others have run. Trials still love, those who fall and just sit. Just as much as they hate, those who won't quit. But should we fall, we mustn't stay down. For the race is not won, face first... on the ground. 2 Timothy 4:7

My Name is...Change!

Time...knows my name, just like his days of the year. For when I arise, Change does appear. I come to those who travel, and to all who remain still. I come those who are willing, and those of stubborn will. I come when the time is right, and when there is no right time. I come when you're at your peaks, or even the beginning of the climb. I've come when I was called, and I've gone when I was sent. I was the future to the past, for all who came and went. My position is like the ocean, as my waves continue rolling in. And just like the sea's, there is no stopping them. Unlike the things I touch, which change day by day. Only the heart of man may chose, whom he serves along the way. Psalm 55:19

Crossed...Sky's

At the very Throne of God, The Father...  will say to The Son. Go get My Church, so that finally... we will be one. Up from His Throne, The Son will rise to His feet. Then the trumpet will sound, as the sky retreats. The Son will break, Through the eastern sky. Then on to the west in the blink of an eye. Two walking, two talking, two having fun. In the twinkling of an eye, there stands only one! Before you can blink, it will be too late. As a once simple invitation , has become... a difficult fate! Many will wonder, while others painfully realize. That Jesus Himself, has crossed the sky's. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Lead On

When I couldn't walk, You held me. When I could only crawl, You carried me. When I tried to walk, I fell and stumbled. Then You picked me up, and let me lean on You. Though it took me longer, than most to learn to walk. You never complained, You were never upset. I still fall from time to time, but it's never far. Thanks to Your hand, holding mine. Though I don't run as wildly, as many do. It's because I know how it hurts, to fall away from You. I just wanted to say, Thank You, Lord. For everything You've done, and too tell You, I love You. May I never forget, how far You've brought me. Lead on Lord JESUS, Lead on... http://justpastthebend.blogspot.com/
