Evening comes,
And sunlight begins to dim.
What was a bright and sunny day.
Now, just shades along the way.
Light had shown the world,
It's brightness for one more turn around the globe.
Now evening dims the light.
As we unknowingly turn away.
As the light dims, darkness awaits.
With just the moon and stars lighting our gates.
The world continues on just a little longer.
But the darkest of night still awaits.
Now, even the darkness begins to dim.
Just before the dawning of Him.
A Son rising in the East.
Will overcome the darkness one last time.
But this time, the Son will continue to shine.
Darkness will no longer be upon the deep.
As the Shepherd is now united with His distant sheep.
No more will the Light ever dim, no more will any darkness be found on them.
For they may have walked through many darknesses from time to time.
And the Light in them at times may have seemed hard to find. But unknowingly to even many of them.
Even the steps through the darkness were leading to Him.
And we sheep may be smelly and dirty to the world of the wise.
Those too educated to believe so-called "sheep lies."
They put their hope in snakes, with guesses and why's.
But in the end for them, it was really just dung and flies.
So as the light dims on the time of man, the Shepherd still extends His call.
But be careful your wait, lest in your wait you fall.
For there will be no last notice, of Last call.
