The Story of Two Trees

Long ago, in a paradise,

Now lost!

Stood a tree of good and evil,

With but one rule,

Do not eat of that tree, at any cost.

One man, one woman,

One garden to tend!

But not long thereafter,

Satan entered in.

Satan’s words,

Were cunning, deceiving and sly!

Convincing Eve,

To believe a lie!

Three in the garden,

Two bad choices, one by one!

Paradise lost!

Now there were none.

Paradise lost,

Meant man was too.

Exiled from the garden,

With no way back, what was man to do?

Though man be lost,

GOD knew what He must do.

Plant another tree that would not fall.

 One that could cover,

All that will answer its call!

This tree would not be lavish,

 Or pleasing to the eye.

The purpose of this tree,

Was entirely to die!

Time went on,

Until one night in another garden.

GOD’s plan took root,

For man’s full pardon!

This second tree was now ready,

To be planted on a hill.

As Jesus himself prayed,

Not my, but Thy will!

They planted the tree on Golgotha’s hill,

For less than a day!

But it more than enough,

To open the way!

A door that Adam closed unknowingly,

Was opened once again!

As Jesus Himself,

Took on our sin!

Many will travel through it,

Passing today!

But just like Adam,

Others will prefer their own way.

But unlike Adam,

in paradise lost!

There'll be no third tree,

to cover the cost!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Highest of Cost!!!

God’s recovery of man,
Was His highest of cost!
For through His Son,
He purchased the lost!

He came with the promise,
Of a new day.
And with a plan to recover,
All lost in their way!

He spoke of a Shepherd,
Who put all…aside!
To recover just one,
Back to His side.

The recovery of man,
Was His highest of cost.
As He covered our sin,
By way of the Cross!

You see…
To recover just you,
Yes…
He would’ve came!

Now for two thousand years,
He continues to cover,
All,
 who call on His Name!

The Rescuer of Our Souls

Lost on an island,
just waiting to die.
 My days ran together,
as time passed me by.

No ship on the horizon,
no planes overhead.
If they do ever find me,
 by then... I'll be dead.

Hope began fleeting,
in all my days lost.
Will no one come,
am I not worth the cost?

When mans days were at it's darkest,
and it appeared like no one would come.
Jesus stepped out of heaven
His mission,
 rescue all...not some.

No matter your island,
no matter its place.
You maybe lost in this world,
but you need not remain lost to His grace.

One rescued all,
from our sin and our shame.
The rescuer of our souls,
Jesus by name!

Finder of the lost,
and the rescuer of all men.
For all have been marooned,
hopeless by sin.

No one need remain,
A castaway anymore.
Your rescue is at hand,
His ship is ashore.

The Letter

In days of weakness,
When you've felt lost.
I remembered the day,
You came to the cross.

Bowing so reverent,
Before God's throne.
From that day forth,
You were never alone.

Oh, there have been times,
That you have strayed.
But My Spirit inside you,
Always has stayed.

The days you felt,
Covered in sin.
The day's you thought,
I'll never win.

Even the days you tied,
 My Hands.
Those days when you chose,
your ways,
and not My plans.

The days you saw,
Loved ones die.
The days you cried,
Why, God why?

Though you didn't recognize me,
I was always there.
I longed for the moment,
That you'd find me in prayer.

You see I never stopped caring,
For you my child.
I just thought you should know,
Since...
we haven't talked in a while.

The Fallen (it's time to get up)

You may be lost,
On your Christian course.
But through all your transgressions,
you still know the source.

The One you accepted,
that faithful day.
Led by His Word,
you followed His way.

For a while you walked,
up close and tight.
But as time wore on,
you strayed in the night.

His Word can still be,
the guide of your life?
Or will you waste your moments
On sin and its strife?

Oh you may have fallen,
but you can still crawl.
Or did you forget,
Jesus paid for it all.

Weakness and selfishness,
We've all visited there.
  Shame comes with the territory,
But it cleans up in prayer.

Your choice is much simpler,
 Than you believe.
You can wallow in the mud,
Or clean up and leave!
