The Valley of the Shadow

  Is there a valley,
Where death still rules?
A great shadow over men,
That lurks and drools.

A place of darkness,
Where death is the force.
One so powerful,
To divert our course.

A valley of long shadows,
That darkens our way.
As we head toward the light,
Of Eternal day.

One who's power,
Has terrified men.
As they forgot the God of heaven,
And embraced their sin.

One who's voice terrifies,
Because of the unknown.
The fact that many never believed,
And chose to walk alone.

Is there a valley in eternity,
That requires Jesus staff and rod?
Or is it this valley,
  We currently trod?

He Who Loves...me

God of all god's,
Origin of all originals.
Maker of all maker's.
Master of all master's.

Creator of all who create,
Giver of all givers.
Kindest of the kind.
Holy in all Your ways.

Strongest of the strong,
Mightiest of the mighty.
The Only Just Judge.
He who knows, no fear.

He from whom,
All Grace and Truth comes.
He from whom,
All Mercy flows.

He who hung the stars,
By His Word.
He who spoke galaxies,
Into existence.

He who made all,
He who does not change.
He who is, and always was.
He, is God!

He Who Loves...me.

I'm fine right where I'm at!

As I sat broken down,
on the side of the street.
I was trying to fix a flat,
and whom should I meet.

It was Jesus,
and He was headed my way.
He said,
"looks like you could use a hand today."

I said, no Lord,
it's just a flat.
I'll be up and going soon.
I'm fine, right where I'm at.

He said,
"Are you sure, it'll just take a minute."
I said, no Lord,
My heart's just not in it.

As He headed on up the road,
to the next person broken down.
I opened the door and got back in,
never making a sound.

You see I'd been sitting right here,
for years, you see.
And He had stopped by everyday,
and offered to help me.

He'd stop and offer,
and then we would chat.
But my word's, were always the same.
I'm fine...right where I'm at.

The View or the Sight

When we look ahead,
what do we see?
The moment, the present,
temporal reality?

Both are real,
but there's more in our view.
Many times mountains, fill our sight.
Then we are left with the present,
as our sight becomes skewed.

Has our sight changed?
Or only our view.
Views are the temporary,
and only for the moment,
are they true.

But sight,
is what enables us to see.
Past the views of the moment,
and it's temporal reality.

Past the mountains,
of this world.
Those...
 we self made,
as well as those unfurled.

Our sight is a gift,
given to us,
by The Father of all Lights.
Opening our view,
that we might have eternal sight.

Never let your current view,
affect you eternal sight.
For the views will change,
but never The Light.

Planting Rainbows

Now it’s true, that in every life,
Storms will rage.
They come regardless of gender,
Wealth or age.

But just know,
As the rain begins to fall.
Those drops are but seeds,
Sent to us all.

You see any cloud,
The Father, chooses to send.
Comes with a rainbow,
Attached to the end.

It doesn’t say all clouds,
But rather, His clouds.
And they come not to warn,
But to promise!

For His promise is this,
Never again, never from Him.
An irrevocable promise,
Of never again.

So when the clouds begin,
To darken my friend.
And the rain seems to fall,
Like there’ll be no end.

Just know the storm will pass.
And before the ground,
On which you stand is even dry.
God Himself, will hang a,
Rainbow in the sky.

So storms will come,
This we know.
Just realize, as that rain falls,
It’s planting rainbows.

If We... Dare?

If we dare,
 Reach,
 for He that is more.
Is there a guarantee
we'll find what we're looking for?

If we dare,
to believe, He knows our name.
And yet still loves us in our weaknesses,
just the same!

If we dare,
to step out, from the norm.
Surely, clouds will build,
and even a storm.

If we dare,
to call Him, in times of despair.
Will He really come?
To answer our prayers.

If we dare,
to seek Him, in His Holy Place.
Might we really meet Him,
face to face.

If we dare,
to reach what man calls,
an unreachable plane.
Could we ever return,
still the same?

If we dare,
He is more than able,
To meet us,
There.

If we dare,
to walk where He leads.
He will more,
than fully meet our needs!

Go ahead, I dare you!

If Today Were Our Last

If we knew,
today were our last.
Would we spend today
regretting our past?

Or would we rejoice,
for all that awaits.
An audience with Jesus,
near the pearly gates.

Would we care about treasures,
 we leave behind?
Or would our thoughts of treasure be more,
 of what we will find?

Would we sit and count,
the hurts of our life?
Or would we finally forgive those,
who caused, those hurts and strife?

Would we want to see those,
 that we have wronged?
Perhaps make amends,
and say, so long.

Would we say,
we contributed to GOD'S mighty plan?
Or were we just a face in the crowd,
to our fellow man?

If today were our last,
could we honestly say?
Lord I did my best,
all of my days.

Why wait? 😊

He Shall Return

In the twinkling,
 Of an eye.
Before you can look,
From the ground to the sky!

He shall return!

Coming in the clouds
And all shall see.
The King of the Ages,
In all...His majesty!

He shall return!

Coming to reign!
Coming to judge!
Coming for those
He dearly loves!

He shall return!

No enemy,
Shall stand in His way!
For as His foot touches down.
He’s come to stay.

He shall return!!!
