Tribulation (Jacobs Troubles)

Far past man's greatest fears,
There lie's, a time that awaits him.
A time the world doesn't believe in,
Yet, it hearkens to greet them!

A time of chaos and death,
Beyond description.
A time of famine and plague,
Without restriction.

Man's rejection of God,
Will now come home.
But the wrath accompanying it,
Will not come alone!

Day in and day out,
A new plague or a war.
For the years of Jacobs Troubles,
This is in store...

Calamities, catastrophe's,
Massive earthquakes,
Even the heavens shake.
Star's falling, masses dying.
Nuclear war,
 carnage and gore!

Beast arriving
From the bottomless pit.
Destroying Angels,
Just to mention a bit.

Demon's and devils,
Will make man's rule's.
As man finally gets his desire,
A world full of ghouls!

But eventually even the demon's,
And ghouls must answer the bell.
For after those seven long years,
For many,
It's going to be Hell.

Praise Him

Praise GOD,
in times of plenty.
Praise Him,
when there isn't any.

Praise Him,
when there's overfill.
Praise Him,
when your cup is nil.

Praise Him,
when you're caught by sorrow.
Praise Him,
that there'll be tomorrow.

Praise Him,
when the winds are cool.
Praise Him,
when the world says, you fool.

Praise Him,
even in times of loss.
Praise Him,
for the Gift He gave us,
at the cross!

If the world knew Him,
Like we do.
Then they would,
Praise Him,
 Too!

Praise Him!

The Birth Pains Begin!

We in America always see
 God’s Blessings at hand!
For we are so blessed a nation
 Throughout the lands!

The world even envies our poor,
We have so much!
But America's forgotten...
The One,
Who blessed us with such!

We’ve listened to fools,
Who cried, “worship whom you please!”
“And it’s not that important,
In whom you believe”!

Has America forgotten?
From whence she came!
Has she sold out her beliefs?
To cover her shame!

Must fire fall from heaven,
To get America’s attention?
What awaits a nation that takes pride,
 In new sins,
 As their own invention!

Must we see judgment?
Before we turn from our ways!
Or is political correctness our answer?
In the last days!

America, will we fall on our face?
 And repent of our sin!
Or have we reached that moment in Scripture
where the birth pains begin?

Mark 13:8

A Gathering of Ages

At a date known only to God.
In a place, He has chose.
The stage is already set.
The official time...only He knows.

A gathering of the ages,
Will take place.
And all are coming,
Of, the human race.

One gathering, will be,
For all who answered His call.
Then later another gathering,
For all...who embraced the fall.

For all who say,
They've had no such invitation.
All this talk of a gathering,
Is nothing more,
 Than a wild imagination!

For all, our choice will decide!
Sooner...or later?
Answer His call?
Or answer, the fall?

But a gathering is coming my friends.
And the time is already set.
So believe it...or not?
This is a gathering...
 You will not forget!

The Watchman - Part Three

As the tree's of the forest,
begin now to break.
The walls of the city,
start to tremble and shake!

The warnings of the Watchman,
were ignored in score's.
But now those within the wall's,
can't ignore anymore!

A few still stand and proclaim,
this is not the end!
It's only a shaking,
we'll repair...and begin again!

The Watchman now trembles,
as he holds to the pillared post.
And with one last great cry,
he calls out to the host.

Pray, pray,
pray all ye who will!
Call out to The God of Heaven,
on His Holy Hill!

Save us, Oh God,
from our arrogance and sin!
Save us, Oh God,
that we might, live again!

The defiant now curse him,
as they toil in dismay.
Defiant to the end,
unwilling... to pray!

Like a thief in night,
the watchman is gone.
The crowd now stunned,
standing alone!

Amidst all the chaos,
and the confusion.
The crowd is now left,
to their own disillusion...

The Watchman - Part Two

Standing at his post,
As the rain gets, more steady.
Still warning all, who will hear?
Prepare, be ready!

The storm draws closer,
To all within the walls!
But no one seems to hear,
As the watchman calls!

We’ve seen storms before,
A voice calls from below.
This too shall pass,
Roars the crowd, as they go!

Drenched with rain,
They continue on their way.
Thinking this to be,
Like a storm of past days.

The winds are coming stronger,
Calls, the watchman from his post.
As he sees the forest start to bend,
His words, still ignored, by most.

The crowds continue on,
Thinking this is now the norm.
After all, they say,
A storm is just a storm...?

A Prayer of Awakening

Great and Mighty God,
God of the Ages,
God of Eternity,
 Ancient of Days!

Come from the four winds,
And awaken me.
Open my eyes,
Help me wipe the slumber from them.

Shake me!
That the dust of this world,
Will fall from me.
Revive me, Oh Lord.

Lord, I ask for revival,
In me.
If no one else wants revival,
I do!

I entreat You, Oh God,
Come from the four winds.
And breathe upon me,
With Your Mighty Holy Spirit.

Intrigue me,
In all the things of You.
Enlighten me,
In Your Word and Your Ways.

Wake me!
Shake me!
Remake me!
In You...

 I ask in Jesus Name.

A Bowl of Soup

A friend stopped me the other day, and asked, just what am I supposed to be in my Christian walk, how do I know what I am, and what I'm supposed to do?

Big question?

But one asked daily around the world, for believers.

Before I could even think, The Holy Spirit filled my mind with this, for an answer.

I said, you see this large building full of people, it's a bowl of soup, and you're part of it, you're the salt.
You season and preserve, there are many vegetables in this soup and they will all rot without salt, and even in there prime they need seasoning, and we as believers are that seasoning.

You don't have to be the next Apostle Paul, all you have to be is salt to the world.

How do I do that he asked?

By allowing the Jesus in you to come out, in all believers there is a supernatural deposit from God, be that coworker that is kind, caring, helpful...people notice. Be that Dad, brother, husband, friend that not just loves, but cares.

And sooner or later, that salt changes those around it, but it's not us changing them, it's the Jesus in us, salt is literally the Jesus in you.

Because we would've rotted also without Him, and someone was salt to us, now we've been preserved, your actions now have the ability to show the world a Jesus with some skin on him.

Because when we lean to our fleshly nature, we are nothing more than another vegetable in the soup, waiting for someone else to come along and salt us.
And we've all done it, when we had the salt already deposited in us, we just selfishly refused to let it out for whatever reason.

We can't all be Billy Graham, but we can be salt!

Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

The Watchman - Part One

The Watchmen stand tirelessly,
On the walls.
Their eyes focused on what lay ahead,
They warn only, with their calls.

Change is coming,
Calls the watchman from his perch.
The weather is changing,
Here in the earth.

The storms are building,
Just outside the walls.
The clouds are darkening,
Are the words of their calls.

Many still walk aimlessly,
Ignoring the watchmen as they go.
Thinking the storm will pass yet again,
As it has before, moving to and fro.

Certain that the storm,
Could not come this way.
Thinking, that storm,
Is reserved, for yet another day.

As a fine rain,
Begins to fall.
Now the Watchman grows louder,
 with his call.

Ezekiel 33:6
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman‘s hand

Who Do You Say I AM?

Some know Him as,
The Ancient of Day's.
Others know Him as,
The One Who is Holy,
 In all His ways.

To some He is,
The God of the Ages.
Who identified Himself,
By the words of His sage's.

Some call Him Master,
Some call Him Friend.
Others just call Him,
The Beginning and End.

To some He is,
The True Capstone.
To others He is why,
 They are never alone.

To some He is,
The Rescuer of the lost.
The Repairer of the breach,
Regardless of cost.

To some He is,
A Lamb beaten and weak.
To others a Strong Lion,
With a love for the meek.

Some observe Him at a distance,
Because of great fear.
Others grab hold of His hand,
And long to draw near.

Who is this One,
Of many names?
Who's description overwhelms,
These humble frames.

He Is,
The Life Giver.
He Is,
The Living River.

He is the reason,
We stand where we trod.
He Is The One and The Only,
He Is God!

Who is God?

He is,
The Mightiest of the mighty.
The Strongest of the strong.
The Most Powerful of the powerful.
The Most Loving!

He is,
The Wisest of the wise.
The Kindest of the kind.
The Most Beautiful.
The Most Benevolent.

He is,
The Most Patient.
The Long Suffering.
The Only Just Judge.
The Righteous One!

He is,
The Life Giver.
The Life Sustainer.
The Rescuer of our souls.
The Ancient of Day's, from days untold!

He is,
The Prayer Taker.
The Wonder Maker.
The Blesser of our bread.
The Lifter of our head!

He is,
The Beginning and The End.
The Good Shepherd, our closest friend.
The Vine from which all fruit grows.
The Living Waters of which all life flows

He is God,
And there is none but He.
He is without contemporary or peer.
He possesses no fear.

He is,
More Majestic than my words.
More Dynamic than my description.
My words pale to describe Him.
My descriptions are pathetic and
pitiful in Who He really is.

In my greatest imagination,
I underestimate Him.
In my greatest descriptions,
I sell Him short of Who He is.
He Is Holy, and He Is God!

Living Among the Dead

Those of the new birth,
Are now a new creation.
No longer is death,
Our final destination!

Recreated...though not,
Visible to the eye!
Our spirit now lives,
Though we die!

God's perfecting power,
Has done so to our spirit man.
But our flesh still lives,
Among the dead, in every land.

Do we as new creations,
 still embrace the ways,
Of the living dead?
Do we hang on in hopes,
That our flesh might
Somehow be fed?

May we feed our spirit man,
That His voice may grow strong.
For it is only, His Voice
That stands between us...
and wrong!

Zombie Christians?
Yes I'm afraid they do exist.
For every time wrong comes along.
They find it impossible
To resist.

The Valley of the Shadow

  Is there a valley,
Where death still rules?
A great shadow over men,
That lurks and drools.

A place of darkness,
Where death is the force.
One so powerful,
To divert our course.

A valley of long shadows,
That darkens our way.
As we head toward the light,
Of Eternal day.

One who's power,
Has terrified men.
As they forgot the God of heaven,
And embraced their sin.

One who's voice terrifies,
Because of the unknown.
The fact that many never believed,
And chose to walk alone.

Is there a valley in eternity,
That requires Jesus staff and rod?
Or is it this valley,
  We currently trod?

He Who Loves...me

God of all god's,
Origin of all originals.
Maker of all maker's.
Master of all master's.

Creator of all who create,
Giver of all givers.
Kindest of the kind.
Holy in all Your ways.

Strongest of the strong,
Mightiest of the mighty.
The Only Just Judge.
He who knows, no fear.

He from whom,
All Grace and Truth comes.
He from whom,
All Mercy flows.

He who hung the stars,
By His Word.
He who spoke galaxies,
Into existence.

He who made all,
He who does not change.
He who is, and always was.
He, is God!

He Who Loves...me.

I'm fine right where I'm at!

As I sat broken down,
on the side of the street.
I was trying to fix a flat,
and whom should I meet.

It was Jesus,
and He was headed my way.
He said,
"looks like you could use a hand today."

I said, no Lord,
it's just a flat.
I'll be up and going soon.
I'm fine, right where I'm at.

He said,
"Are you sure, it'll just take a minute."
I said, no Lord,
My heart's just not in it.

As He headed on up the road,
to the next person broken down.
I opened the door and got back in,
never making a sound.

You see I'd been sitting right here,
for years, you see.
And He had stopped by everyday,
and offered to help me.

He'd stop and offer,
and then we would chat.
But my word's, were always the same.
I'm fine...right where I'm at.
